Cesar Vallejo’s Thesis: Romanticism in Spanish poetry (1915). Some reflections
Abstract
This article aims to give to Romanticism in Spanish poetry (1915), Cesar Vallejo’s bachelor’s thesis, some reflections on its editing process and the fate of its editions. Despite the fact this thesis has a hundred year of publication, there is not a critical or commented edition that enables its reading within the complete work of the Santiago de Chuco poet. The presentation of his thesis is addressed as well as some issues of the first and second editions are explained. Some similarities of these publications are likewise described, interpreted and analyzed.
