Abstract

In the text addresses one of the facets less studied of the work of Gonzalez Prada: that of poet. It is being studied the relationship of scripture lyrical of Peruvian writer with poets of the European tradition as Leconte of Lisle and Paul Verlaine and complex links between the modernist poetry and symbolism. Equipped with originality, the poetry of Gonzalez Prada served to turn to link with the poets more young people as Jose Santos Chocano and Jose Maria Eguren.
