Abstract

The recent edition of a bilingual anthology honoring Belli provokes some pondering on the radical originality of this verses, a production wrougth in decades always showing links a Romanic matrix of a Latin, and later Italian and Spanish, form.

Marco Martos Carrera, Academia Peruana de la Lengua

Doctor en Literatura. Presidente de la Academia Peruana de la Lengua. Docente del Departamento Académico de Literatura de la Facultad de Letras y Ciencias Humanas de la UNMSM. Ha publicado entre otros los siguientes libros: Casa nuestra (1.a ed.1965, 2.a ed. 1993), Cuaderno de quejas y contentamientos (1969), Donde no se ama (1974), Carpe diem (1979), Carpe diem/El silbo de los aires amorosos (1981), Cabellera de Berenice (1.a ed. 1990, 2.a ed. 1991, 3.a ed. 1994), Muestra de arte rupestre (1990), Leve reino (1996), Casti connubi (1998), El mar de las tinieblas (1999), Montura de amor (2001), Sílabas de la música (2002), Jaque perpetuo (2003), Dondoneo (2004), Aunque es de noche (2006), Dante y Virgilio iban oscuros en la profunda noche (2008), Adiós San Miguel de Piura secretario de mis penas (2009), En las arenas de Homero (2010). También ha incursionado en el cuento con El monje de Praga (2003). Sus poemas han sido traducidos al húngaro, italiano, portugués, inglés, francés, alemán, chino y griego. Es director del programa de radio Palabra del Perú de la Academia Peruana de la Lengua. Actualmente dirige el Boletín de la Academia Peruana de la Lengua y la revista Escritura y Pensamiento de la Facultad de Letras y Ciencias Humanas de la UNMSM.
