The triumphal income and the daily life in ghent in the epoch of Charles V
Abstract
Our text is interested in the presentation of a highlighted moment in the history of Spain: the imperial period of Charles V, a character who will allow connecting several destinations in a certain moment of the XVIth Century: Flanders, Burgundy, Spain and of course Latin America. Nevertheless, we have wanted to place the emperor in Ghent, his hometown, introducing especial ceremonies such as the Triumphal Entries, essential for genesis of the Modern State and that help us learn daily life at the beginning of the XVIth Century and especially understand the importance that Flanders and Burgundy have had in Europe and in the American continent.Downloads
